The Quiet Man
Life sized sculpture of a man with spectacles wearing a simple suit carrying suitcases which have decorative flower patterns cut through the top lids.
The Quiet man sculpture is a grey metal figure carrying his life inside his suitcases, one in each hand. The suitcases have a filigree pattern of flowers cut through their top lids, a symbol of the man's fruitful knowledge and learning that he has carefully stored inside. He is a sombre and literally grey character, unsure of his place, just moving on, trying to find calm.
