King of Recycling

A large metal King cartoon figure riding a bicycle type of machine made out of reused parts, taking objects to the household recycling centre

Commissioned by Suffolk County Council in 2008 and located at the Household Waste Recycling Centre in Lowestoft, Suffolk, the King of Recycling is a whimsical figure, himself made out of some of re-used objects. He carries a stash of household waste on his fly-drive machine including a grandfather clock , a plant, a lamp, a washing machine and golf clubs. Who knows what he will make out of this lot but he is a celebration of the recycled material to be found in the Household Waste Recycling Centre behind him.
